Automation Engineer/Technician (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

• Planning, implementing, and supporting automation and remote-control systems (e.g., Siemens S7, TIA Portal, SICAM A8000, IEC-104/61850)
• Configuration and commissioning of control and SCADA systems in energy and industrial environments
• Troubleshooting, analysis, and optimization of automation processes
• Supporting OT security topics (e.g., hardening, network segmentation, logging)
• Working on KRITIS-related projects and modernizing existing automation systems
• Documentation, testing, FAT/SAT activities, and handover to customers

Your Profile

• Completed education in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a comparable technical field
• Relevant experience in automation engineering, ideally in the energy, industrial, or critical infrastructure sector
• Knowledge of Siemens S7/TIA Portal or experience with remote-control and protection systems (e.g., IEC-104, IEC-61850, Modbus, A8000, RTUs)
• Basic understanding of control/SCADA systems
• Bonus: experience with OT security or networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPN)
• Independent, structured work style and a strong technical mindset
• Willingness to take responsibility in critical environments
