33 medals for Austria at the home European Skills Championships in Graz. The home game in Graz proved to be a triumph in red-white-red: At EuroSkills 2021, the European Skills Championships, which took place in Austria for the first time at the end of September 2021, Austria's young skilled workers scored a historic success. The 54 participants from Team Austria achieved 33 medals - 11x gold, 12x silver, 10x bronze - as well as 4 Medallions for Excellence for outstanding performances. Thus, the previous record - 21 medals at EuroSkills 2018 in Budapest - was once again far exceeded. Today, Team Austria was received and honored by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen in the presence of Economics Minister Margarete Schramböck and WKÖ President Harald Mahrer at the Vienna Hofburg.
